Designed to bring together veterinary nurses, educators, researchers, and industry partners from around the world, this conference serves as a hub for learning, collaboration, and inspiration. Through scientific sessions, hands-on workshops,

and networking opportunities, AVNC 2026 aims to foster professional development and highlight the vital role of veterinary nurses in advancing animal health and welfare.
 

As the first conference of its kind in the region, AVNC 2026 reflects a collective vision to strengthen the future of veterinary nursing— uniting knowledge, compassion, and innovation under one shared purpose.

Mr Kenichiro Yagi
MS, RVT, VTS (ECC), (SAIM)

Ken Yagi has dedicated over 25 years to advancing and advocating for the veterinary nursing profession worldwide. As the Chief Veterinary Nursing Officer at the Veterinary Emergency Group and Program Director of the RECOVER Initiative, he has played a pivotal role in shaping standards for veterinary nursing excellence and emergency care.

RVN MBVNA NCert SAN AVLM

Lyndsey serves as the President of the British Veterinary Nursing Association (BVNA) and Small Animal Director at Drove Veterinary Hospital in Wiltshire, UK. With a strong commitment to professional growth, education, and wellbeing, she embodies the conference theme of “Progression.” Her leadership and dedication to advancing the veterinary nursing profession continue to inspire nurses globally to achieve excellence in both clinical practice and personal development.

MRCVS, PhD (Cambridge), MMedSc (IMU), DVM (UPM)

Professor Kamalan is the Head of the School of Veterinary Medicine and Professor of Clinical Physiology at the University of Surrey, UK. Formerly the Lead in Physiology at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (PU-RCSI), Kuala Lumpur, he has extensive academic experience in anatomy and physiology, having lectured at institutions including IMU, UPM, and the University of Cambridge.
