Our
Story
Veterinary Nursing as a profession has seen an exponential growth in recognition and importance in recent times, especially during the COVID pandemic when skilled workers are relied upon more than ever. Internationally, in countries like the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, South Korea, Singapore, Japan and many more, accredited veterinary nurses are an important and essential personnel of any veterinary practice and are subjected to strict licensing and regulating terms by the governing bodies, with legally recognized credentials being awarded only to graduates of recognized educational institutes.
In recognition of the potentials of skilled and formally trained veterinary nurses to aid in advancement of Malaysia's small animal veterinary industry, the idea of MAVNA is born. Our main goals are to improve education opportunities for aspiring veterinary nurses in Malaysia, as well as to strive for legal recognition by the industry and the country.
